Infant formula policy

Breast milk is the best start a baby can have in life. For various reasons, however, not all mothers can breastfeed their babies; in this case, they need a safe, effective, high quality alternative. That's why Nestlé Nutrition draws on the latest paediatric research and uses state-of-the-art technology to develop infant formula that meets the needs of babies during the first critical months of life.

Breast-feeding provides the best nutrition and protection for your baby. For advice on breast-feeding, consult your doctor or any other health professional.

When used correctly, infant formula provides the nutritional needs of your baby in an easy digestible form. You will need more than one can (450g) per week if your baby is only bottle-fed, so keep your family circumstances and costs in mind before deciding whether to use an infant formula.

When using an infant formula, it is also important to follow the instructions on labels as incorrect storage, handling, preparation and feeding can potentially lead to adverse effects for the health of your baby.

As soon as baby is old enough, feed infant formula with a cup or spoon.
