OPTIMUM NUTRITION

baby vanille Infant cereals with & without milk
At Stage 2, a baby can eat multi-cereals and cereals with different fruits/vegetables. Nestlé Infant Cereals are intended to complement the diet at the age of weaning. These are cereal products that must be prepared with milk (standard cereals) or water (complete cereals). To offer new tastes to the baby, different combinations of cereals, along with selected fruits and vegetables are introduced as appropriate to the baby’s stage of maturity. Certain specific ingredients, e.g. pre- and probiotics, DHA, plant extracts, may be used to provide cereals with a specific functionality targeted towards maintaining the baby’s health.

At Stage 2, babies can continue to build their taste repertoire. Nestlé Fruit Products start to include new single- and mixed-ingredients and a homogeneous mouliné texture (without pieces): e.g. mixed-fruit-products, fruit-cereal-products. For the first time, babies can also discover traditional tastes based on milk with Nestlé Milky Desserts. These desserts can include a variety of ingredients, including combinations of selected mild fruit varieties, different dairy products (curd, yogurt, etc.), and vanilla and honey.

Through their selected ingredients for different stages, Nestlé Savoury Meals and Dishes meet specific needs for growth and development. At Stage 2, babies can start to discover new tastes: single- and mixed-ingredient products with a homogeneous mouliné texture (without pieces), e.g. single meat preparations, mixed vegetables, vegetarian menus (complete meals), and vegetable(s) with meat (complete meals). Nestlé Savoury Complete Meals contain a well-balanced nutritional mix of macronutrients carbohydrates, lipids and proteins.

beverageBeverages
Nestlé Beverages are formulated for optimal hydration and to help babies gradually adapt to regular healthy drinking habits. Many Nestlé Beverages are enriched with specific vitamins and minerals to provide the baby with a good source of micronutrients. While water is the best choice for quenching thirst, babies often prefer flavoured alternatives, so Stage 2 babies may enjoy multi-ingredient fruit juices in appropriate small quantities (roughly 10 ml/kg/day), as well as vegetable juices/nectars, and mixed drinks such as fruit with milk or near-water products. The recommended amount of water intake via beverages (including milk and non-milk beverages) is about 400 ml/day for Stage 2 babies.

Alete Finger foods
Nestlé Finger Foods help Stage 2 babies learn how to chew and to discover food alone. Intended to be used as a complement to a meal or for the afternoon snack, stage 2 finger foods include rusks and biscuits (with or without reconstitution with milk).
